Why money matters.

Why we matter and why our lives have so much meaning

Recall in this world that we have meaning and that we tend to take life so granted. We as humans tend to think that our lives are insignificant and all we focus on is this thing that I like to call green. Green is envious, evil and obnoxious. This color can get us what we want in a matter of seconds as long as we hand this in. We love green, we have that feeling every end of the month, week, year or whenever.

I'm talking about money. This "green" makes us all green.

Money makes us all happy because we are able to get what we want. Yet we are disillusioned by money, because we need it, we think we love it and it has more meaning than us. We yearn it to get what we need for happiness. Happiness is really all this world now focuses on, and not about our people. We have lost our tracks and we need to be redeeming ourselves to even all ourselves humans. But all we do is enjoy life and watch anime or dramas and have this house. As a future person aiming for a PhD in mathematics (no internet memes where I refer to a pretty huge *cough*) I feel that we can be humane about this.

I'm pretty much talking about huge sums of money, where it leads to corruption. It's a great feeling of having one million dollars every day. We need to think of how to use money, and not be able to gamble it away, or focus on what we want. Video games are enjoyable, partying all night is great, buying some new make-up or clothing is a cool sensation, but as a humanist we need to think of how we spend money and concern ourselves with good. Being good is our lives (I'm trying to type from a neutral perspective here so I may refer to Daoism.) We need to be able to balance our lives with money. If we have a little extra spending money; put it in your bank account. Don't spend it on video games, or even anything we think we need, or try not to. We need to think about later and not about the present. We need to prove that we are mature in this generation.

Ms. Schoeller actually taught me that we need to save money, save 1/10th of the money you earn please. In fact I recently got 150 dollars and I haven't even touched the 130. I only spend 20 dollars and I realize that there is more than life to video games, and drunk anime nights and adult beverages with mom and dad. It's an amazing experience as a taoist and I feel that we need to just sit down and think about what we do before we actually do it. Should I really spend 300 dollars on the PS4 or can I wait till 250 in three weeks and get a video game with it (NOT from Gamestop). It's all about saving money people. Is instant gratification so important that we lose who we truly are as humans? That we were designed to think and plan and be good to other people?
